DAY 1: ARRIVAL & TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by a member of our team for transfer to your hotel in Kampala. Arrive at the hotel & stay at leisure enjoying the cool breeze of Lake Victoria.

DAY 2: MURCHISON FALLS N. P VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY

Depart Kampala very early for Murchison Falls National Park: Optional Activity
- En-route to Masindi 3 hours’ drive out of Kampala, make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos before proceeding to the National Park.
Upon entrance into the park, visit the top of the falls; here you will spot a permanent rainbow right from the top as you feel the loud sound of the waterfall.
The view is rewarding as it explains why Murchison Falls is famously known as one of the world’s strongest waterfalls. And soon after experiencing the perfect scenery, proceed to the ferry dock and crossover to access your lodge so as check in and enjoy your leisure.

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE ON THE NILE
After an early breakfast, you will have a game drive through the delta circuit, reputably known for high concentrations of wildlife. This 4-5 hour game drive will reward you with stunning views of the savanna and other plant vegetation of the acacia and borassus palm trees propagated by elephants all the way from Congo.
Expect a wide variety of wildlife including;Lions, hippos, waterbucks, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, oribis, Uganda Kobs, baboons and patasmonkeys and many more.Take a stop at the Nile Delta where you will view Hippos cooling off in the water, and have some photos around the bank.Later on, drive back to the lodge and enjoy your lunch.
Thereafter, next is an afternoon launch cruise on the Nile; offering you a chance to experience a variety of wildlife as you enjoy the stunning views along the world’s longest river. In addition to taking you close to the base of the waterfall, the 3 hour launch trip follows a stretch of the Nile with a compelling African atmosphere. Game viewing is excellent where you will expect;

DAY 4: MURCHISON FALLS TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, after your breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park with your lunch stopover in Hoima.
Kibale National Park contains one of the most varied tracts of the tropical rain forest in Uganda. Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. DAY 5: ADVENTURE IN THE WORLD’S PRIMATE CAPITAL
At 795 sq.km, this is home to over 351 tree species some over 200 years old, famous for 13 primate species including Chimpanzees, 70 mammals species & over 375 bird species.In the morning, start of the day with breakfast and get ready for the day’s exciting activities.

DAY 6: KIBALE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Queen Elizabeth National Park is famous for diverse ecosystems which include sprawling savannah, shady humid forests, sparkling lakes, wetlands and amazing craters. Ideal for big game, primate species to include Chimps and over 600 bird species. It has superb scenic views of Kazinga Channel, the Rwenzori Mountains and crater lakes which are home to a wide variety of birds.
After your breakfast, tour Fort Portal and later on proceed on your journey to ‘’a medley of wonders’’. On arrival after a stopover atthe equator, you will check into your lodge for lunch, refreshment and leisure.
In the evening go for aDusk Game Drive; experience the various animals towards the night time to include bushbucks, elephants, warthogs, hippos and more. Thereafter, return to your lodge for a dinner under and after, you may join a campfire and storytelling.OVERNIGHT: The Bush Lodge
DAY 7: EXPLORE QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Start off the day with a tasty breakfast and then get deeper into the highlights of this amazing park.Dawn Game Drive; explore the park’s flora and fauna to include elusive bird species and a wide variety of animals like elephants, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, waterbucks, Kobs, warthogs and many more. Don’t miss out the scenic views of the crater lakes like Nyamunuka which is medicinal to the animals.

DAY 8: TRAVEL TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast and a leisurely morning, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Southerly Ishasha Sector, this will offer you a chance to see the tree climbing lions as this is the only place where can be found. On arrival, check into your lodgeand recuperate from the journey.
At 331 sq.km, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to half the world’s mountain gorillas, over 346 bird species, 202 butterfly species, 400 plant species, 63 tree species, 120 mammal species & 27 frog species. Here is the chance to meet and interact with the shortest people (Batwa) of the mountains.

DAY 9: GORILLA TRACKING DAY
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing at exactly 8:00am and tracking will commence in the next 30 min after registration and briefing by the ranger guides.
Gorilla tracking is a very captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi. This starts at 8:30am and can last a few hours to a whole day depending on where the gorillas were left the previous day. After gorilla tracking, return to your lodge and have your lunch.
In the evening you may opt for a community tour where you will meet and interact with the shortest people (Batwa) of the mountains; learn about their way of life such as; hunting skills, medicinal knowledge, child upbringing, cuisines, art and crafts and many more interesting aspects.

DAY 10: BWINDI TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK, MUSANZE
- Journey time: 3-4 Hrs.
After an early breakfast, depart Bwindi for Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, Rwanda. You will travel through Cyanika Boarder on a scenic drive, arrive at your hotel/lodge and have lunch.
Volcanoes National Park lies in northwestern Rwanda and borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. The national park is home to the rare and endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys with five of the eight volcanoes of the Virunga Mountains (Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo). At 160sq.km, covered in rainforest and bamboo, the park was the base for the zoologist Dian Fossey.
After lunch you will be discovering the culture and history of Rwanda by way of engaging in the below activities:
- Canoe Rides;enjoy a little excitement in modern canoes on Mukungwa River near Musanze.
- Visit Iby’Iwacu cultural village;this visit will give you a chance to meet local people, in their community, with a taste of Rwanda’s culture and traditions. While here enjoy:
- A guided community walk; see the king’s house
- The different types of traditional dances,
- Visit the traditional medicine man; get to know how medicinal trees, shrubs, grass are used to cure local patients.
- Attend a local banana brewery process and have a taste on local banana beer.
- Explore the Batwa pottery making experience, lessons and engagement
Later in the evening, return to your hotel/lodge and spend your leisure time with dinner in a peaceful night.

DAY 11: GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING & TRIP TO GISENYI
Early in the morning have your breakfast and immediately be transferred to the park so as to register for this activity.Golden monkey trekking is usually conducted and at 7:00am just like gorillas. These rare species are also listed as endangered and Volcanoes national park currently has two habituated golden monkeys’ troops that are available for visiting, both of which make about 80 members living in the bamboo vegetation towards the base of the volcanoes.
These endangered species are very active creatures, and jump from tree to tree which is really captivating. The activity can last for several hours depending on the speed of movement for the monkeys. However, golden monkeys do not go into higher altitudes like gorillas hence sparing travelers several hours of hiking.
After spending time with the golden monkeys with lunch, you will be at be heading to Gisenyi.OVERNIGHT: Gorillas Lake Kivu Hotel
DAY 12:TRAVEL TO GOMA IN CONGO& HIKE NYIRAGONGO
Early breakfast: Drive to the Rwanda-Goma boarder, to be registered with your visas at the immigration office & then join a convoy to Mount Nyiragongo in company of the Virunga National Park rangers (Meals Included)
Mount Nyiragongo is an active stratovolcano (3,470 m) in the Virunga Mountains inside Virunga National Park (DRC), about 20 km north of Goma Town & Lake Kivu, just west of Rwanda boarder.
The main crater (2 km wide) contains an active lava lake having 2 distinct cooled lava benches within the walls (the higher is 3,175 m & the lower is 2,975 m), with fluid lava emitted during eruptions containing melilite nephelinite.
Fact: Mount Nyiragongo has erupted since 1882 & the lava lake was confirmed in 1948, measured 120,000 m2. The lake is confined within a broad, steep-sided cinder cone on the crater floor (60ft high / 600ft wide). Hiking takes 5 hours & overnight atop the mountain (lava flames seen best at night), descending the next day & back to your hotel in Rwanda.OVERNIGHT: Atop the Mountain
DAY 13:DESCEND MOUNT NYIRAGONGO TO GISENYI
Enjoy breakfast high up on the mountain & thereafter start descending down with the ranger guides.
Hop onto your transfer vehicle & proceed to the immigration office to be cleared before crossing over to Rwanda.
Upon arrival at your hotel in Gisenyi, check-in, refresh & enjoy your lunch with the rest of the day spent at leisure.OVERNIGHT: Gorillas Lake Kivu Hotel
DAY 14: TRAVEL TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
- Journey time: 5 Hours
After breakfast, depart from Gisenyi to Nyungwe through Kibuye. This is one of the most scenic drives during this trip.

DAY 15: DISCOVER NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morningtake part in the Canopy walk.
Getting to the canopy is also about 2 hours from the starting point at Uwinka visitor Centre. The forest is on a mountain and the hike is also slippery due to the fact that the ground on which the guests trek is wet and so moist.
This bridge adjourned between the huge trees will guarantee a feel of fresh air, 60m above the forest floor. Apart from the freshness in the air and the wonderful aerial view of the trees, you will also enjoy the sights of the fantastic birds that fly across as you enjoy the walk. This canopy walk is the most preferred activity for the park visitors and it’s one of those you want to try before you die. This 90m long canopy walk way also gives a unique face to face meetings with the butterflies, birds and the monkeys.

DAY 16:TRAVEL TO KIGALI & DEPARTURE
In the morning after your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airfield to catch your next domestic flight to Kigali (optional)
Alternatively, you may choose to go by road arriving in Kigali in the late afternoon. Depending on your outbound flight, you may do some souvenir shopping before heading to the Airport to check in for your flight back home. END OF SAFARI
