Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Kampala

Travel Time: 1 hour.

On arrival you will be met by a member of our team and transferred to your hotel.

Overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel/Cassia Lodge/ Bush Pig Back Packers.

Day 2: Travel to Fort Portal / Kibale Forest

Uganda is the primate capital of East Africa and Kibale National park alone is home to thirteen primate species.

On arrival you will check in your lodge.

Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Primate Lodge/Chimpanzee Forest Guest House

Day 3: Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest

Today after an early breakfast, you will track the chimps and later in the afternoon, go for a swamp walk and bird viewing in Bigodi Swamp.

Day 4: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Leave Kibale via Fort Portal town which is perhaps the most attractive town in Uganda, situated amid lush rolling hillsides swathed in neat tea plantations, and offering excellent views across to the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains to the West.

On arrival check in to your lodge: Mweya Safari Lodge/ Ihamba Safari Lodge/Simba Safari Camp.

Day 5:  Game Drive & Boat Cruise

This morning you will have a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

What to expect;

  • 604 species of birds like the African fish eagle, yellow billed stork among others.
  • Primates
  • Cats like lions, Leopard, servaletc.
  • Canid like side stripped jackal
  • Civets, Genets and mongooses.
  • Elephants.

You will go back to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Overnight in Mweya Safari Lodge/ Ihamba Safari Lodge/Simba Safari Camp.

Day 6: Travel to Bwindi Via Ishasha

You will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Southerly Sector and get a chance to see the tree climbing lions.

On arrival you will check and recuperate from the journey.

Dinner and overnight at Trackers Safari Lodge/ Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking

Tracking is a captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi. Gorilla tracking starts at 8:30 AM and can last a few hours to a whole day depending on where the gorillas were left the previous day.

Dinner and overnight at Trackers Safari Lodge/ Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge.

Day 8: Travel to Kampala

After an early breakfast, depart for Kampala. Have a lunch stop-over in Mbarara and go for a photo opportunity at the equator on your way to Kampala.
